I’ve fallen in love with reading children’s stories to my daughter. For a while she refused to let daddy read to her (only mummy) but now I might be her favourite. We got a set of Dr Seus stories from an American school that was closing down and now I can almost read Fox in Socks without tripping up (luke luck is still a bit tricky). At times I wish I had a bit more time for myself, but I know I will look back on these moments with greater fondness than if I had spent another hour reading grown up books.

Really excited to have a scholarship for the LYT workshop. Really excited to upgrade my PKM approach and perhaps learn some obsidian tricks too.

I’m trying to get better at cultivating an “improve approach to life” especially with my daughter. When she wants to do something I want to reply with “Yes, and…" not “no, but…".

I remember someone on here sharing about an environmentally conscious webhost (that was also a reasonable rate). I’ve been trying to find them again but can’t be certain which is the correct host.

Yesterday, I used my iPad and Apple pencil to erase and paint items in Pixelmator Pro. I really love this little feature. I’ve tried wacom tablets in the past but this is better (but a bit laggy wirelessly).

What Obsidian theme are you using? I’m using Obsidian iA atm but looking for something more interesting. (P.s. if you ever make a video. Please don’t use the 80s theme. It hurts my brain)

I notice some people will go to great lengths to explain the technical reason for a problem when really what’s needed is

  1. Did you follow the established procedure?
  2. Why didn’t the procedure prevent this issue?
  3. How can the procedure be changed to prevent this issue in the future?

I’m not sure if they don’t understand that, or if they know they didn’t follow the process and they are trying to cover their backs.

I have finally managed to find a, fairly easy way to use Netlify and GitHub to publish SOME but not all of my notes from my Obsidian setup AND I can easily update them in Obsidian. It’s still not perfect but I have things in place now. Just need to work out a URL or whatever.
