A few thoughts on the iPhone duo.

  • If it were the same price as a pro, I’d definitely want one as my next phone (and probably even now).
  • If it had Apple Pencil support, I’d really think about using that as my sketchnote device.
  • I love the shape, I don’t know I’d actually like using that shape.

“We don’t need a style guide, they’re overrated and don’t help.”

6 months later and I’ve just spotted a sentence both with and without the oxford comma in it (one clause with, one clause without) and I can’t correct it because no one knows what is right or wrong.

Forgot how fun HAIM’s first album was; I do enjoy the “forgotten favourites” feature in YouTube Music.

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy.

O, Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love; For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; it is in dying that we are born again to eternal life.

  • The prayer of St Francis of Assisi

A few months back I was reflecting on being a person of peace in a toxic workplace and suddenly this prayer popped into my head. As a child, we used to sing a version of this prayer in school assemblies (it was one of my favorite school hymns along with one about collecting vegetables at harvest). Suddenly having the words come back into my mind gave me a rock to focus on and since then I regularly find myself praying “Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace,” throughout the day.

In situations where there are vicious cycles, it’s even more important not to perpetuate the downward spiral but be a person of grace, peace, and love.

I remember a year or so back seeing a joke about someone using AI to turn bullet points into an email and then the person getting the email to use AI to turn it back into bullet points. Well, my colleague and I have basically decided to do that to turn someone else’s massive AI “briefs” into something actually useful.

Three songs into new Cory Wong album and love it.

Is it just me or are usb-c ports far harder to get lint out of than lightning ports?

Upgraded to iOS 27 beta and it was a great decision! The design is greatly improved and I haven’t really seen a battery impact.
