For my final final (no really) Christian ethics assignment, I’m writing about a case study of caring for refugees (not inspired by recent political events in the US nor Poland). For my first step I pulled together a list of Bible verses about refugees. Leviticus 19:33-34 is a big deal.
Funny how some people’s definition of “masculinity” is really just “it’s okay for me to act like a child”.
For children’s day I got myself my son a lego Ferrari. I’ve already rebuilt it twice after he took it apart to carry in his backpack.

My accomodation for the Sketchnote camp in Birmingham just got cancelled. I’m still looking but everything else is at least twice as expensive. Shame but there we go.

A good popular look at the sermon on the mount. I really like his examples and relating it to culture and psychological principles.
Finished reading: The Matrix of Christian Ethics by Patrick Nullens πgreat overview of different ethical frameworks and how they apply to Christian ethics. I really appreciated his explanation of Max Schelerβs value ethics, something which had confused me in other writings.
Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Random thought from yesterday. Most ethical frameworks help you when you find yourself facing a dilemma; Virtue ethics brings you to more ethical dilemmas (and that’s a good thing). I don’t think that’s entirely fair of other ethical frameworks and it relies on the right virtues.
